Have you been hearing about the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and wondering what it is and how to use it? It is a tool that can help you visualize and validate a business or product idea in a structured way. We will discuss how and when it is valuable and how it compares to a traditional business plan.
In this 4-hour workshop you will learn the basics of the Business Model Canvas. We will walk through all of the 9 boxes in the canvas. Then you will work in teams to complete several canvases surrounding ideas that will be provided.
Finally, we will discuss next steps for how to apply this to your own business idea and how to start validating your own business model.
Melissa Wasserman will be facilitating this workshop. Melissa is Certified by the InBIA (International Business Innovation Association) to teach BMC. She is currently the Director of Operations for Canvs and Director of Programming for Starter Studio, a 12-week tech accelerator that uses the BMC as a foundation. She has coached many companies through the BMC process, both in her current role as well as previously as a Site Manager for the the UCF Business Incubator.View Event
